Cracking release from the excellent singer Glen Washington who has been a consistent figure on the reggae and dancehall scene since the mid 70s.
Not sure of the date on this one, but probably released around 2002. On the Roots Groundation label. A top rootsy dancehall track with an equally impressive dub.

Long-lost Herbsman anthem which was originally released in a very limited edition in 1982 an S&G 12"(SG 25).
Featuring an early outing by King Tubby's protégé Scientist, who creates a powerful dubwise excursion on the version, and Boy Blue, who wants a smoke.
Re-released again in 2007 on Topatop this is a little gem.

The original singer of "Cherry Oh Baby", made famous by UB40, sings in his trademark falsetto on this fairly obscure release on Weed Beat. Don't know much more about it, but it probably dates from the late '70s.
It's a cracking tune though.

Note the appearance of Mercy, the puppy, who come in the room when I was recording so I thought she better had be in the video.

On the Blacker Dread label and dating from 1984, "Fire de a mus mus tail" was one of Frankie Paul's bigger hits.
Often referred to as the Jamaican Stevie Wonder, not only because of his near blindness, but also an acknowledgment of his prodigious musical talent. A mainstay of the reggae and dance hall charts in the 80's and 90's, Frankie Paul's voice is unmistakable.
